[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시는 7일 시청 대회의실에서 올 9월 통합 출범한 주민자치회 위원들을 대상으로 주민참여예산에 대한 이해와 참여도를 높이는 주민참여예산학교를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 주민참여예산학교는 김해시 법정문화도시 사업을 주관하는 김해문화재단 문화도시센터와 협업해 기획하였으며 소통과 대안 협동조합에서 강의를 맡아 진행했다.
강의는 각 읍·면·동에서 새로 구성된 주민자치회 위원과 주민참여예산 담당자의 전반적인 주민참여예산의 이해도 제고와 역량 강화에 초점을 뒀으며 지역 실정에 맞는 주민자치형 사업 발굴을 위한 초석을 다지는 자리가 됐다.
주민참여예산제도의 의의와 사례 소개를 시작으로 올해 김해시 주민참여예산 운영 계획을 토대로 한 공모사업 기준 세우기, 제안 의제 선정 등 주민참여예산에 대해 알아가고 의견을 공유하는 시간을 가졌다.
김해시는 공모를 통해 접수한 제안사업에 대해 주민참여예산위원회의 심의를 거쳐 40건(29억9,500만원)을 선정했으며 12월 시의회 의결을 거치면 2023년도 당초 예산에 반영된다.
김해시 관계자는 “꿈이 이루어지는 따뜻한 행복도시 김해를 만들어 가기 위해서는 무엇보다도 시민 여러분의 참여와 관심이 필요하다”며 “본격적으로 주민자치회 활동을 시작하는 만큼 우리 시에서도 예산평성 과정에 시민들의 다양한 목소리가 반영될 수 있도록 점진적으로 예산학교를 확대·운영하고 주민참여예산제도를 발전시켜 진정한 주민자치가 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
