브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차는 9일 양재동 본사에서 김동욱 현대차그룹 부사장, 김영태 OECD 국제교통포럼 사무총장 등 주요 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 ‘기업협력이사회(Corporate Partnership Board·CPB)’ 회원사 참여를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
OECD 국제교통포럼은 육상교통, 항공, 해운 등 교통 정책을 비롯해 에너지, 도시, 환경 등 다양한 분야에서 글로벌 아젠다를 설정하고 논의를 주도하는 국제기구다. 한국, 미국, 영국, 프랑스 등 총 64개 국가가 회원국으로 활동하고 있다.
OECD 국제교통포럼이 민간 기업과의 협력 강화를 위해 운영하고 있는 기업협력이사회에는 전 세계 30여개 기업이 글로벌 차원에서 교통 정책 관련 다양한 공동 연구와 협업을 진행하고 있다.
이번 협약에 따라 현대차는 향후 3년간 교통장관회의, 국제교통포럼 기업협력이사회 주간(ITF CPB WEEK) 등 OECD 국제교통포럼이 주최하는 다양한 글로벌 행사에 참여해 OECD 국제교통포럼 회원국 및 기업협력이사회 가입사들과 긴밀한 상호협력 관계를 구축하고, 미래 모빌리티 신기술과 신사업 검증을 위한 협력 모델도 발굴한다.
아울러 현대차는 자율주행, AAM 등 다양한 미래 모빌리티 분야의 글로벌 정책 논의 및 연구 프로젝트에 적극 참여하고 탄소중립 실현, 수소경제 기반 구축 등 지속가능 성장을 위한 공동 대응 방안 모색에도 나선다.
