[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 오는 2023~2024년 우리나라를 대표하게 될 관광명소인 ‘한국관광 100선’에 진해 여좌천이 선정됐다고 13일 밝혔다.
‘한국관광 100선’은 문화체육관광부에서 한국인과 한국을 방문하는 외국인 관광객이 꼭 가봐야 할 우수 관광지 100곳을 2년에 한 번씩 선정해 국내외에 홍보하는 사업으로 이번이 여섯 번째다.
이번에 선정된 여좌천은 전국에서 이름난 벚꽃 명소로 드라마 ‘로망스’ 촬영지로 알려져 ‘로망스다리’라고도 불린다.
봄이면 약 1.5㎞ 구간의 개천 양옆으로 땅에는 노란 유채꽃이, 하늘에는 왕벚나무가 드리워져 화려한 벚꽃 터널을 이룬다.
밤에는 LED 불빛과 가로등이 벚꽃을 비춰 낮과는 다른 몽환적인 분위기를 만끽할 수 있다.
내년 봄 전국 최대규모 꽃 축제인 진해군항제가 여좌천을 비롯한 창원시 진해구 일원에서 4년 만에 다시 열린다.
여좌천 일대는 매년 군항제 기간 동안 가장 붐비는 벚꽃 군락지다.
