13일 군에 따르면 경상북도는 도내 23개 시ㆍ군의 위임국도, 지방도, 시ㆍ군도의 기능 유지와 교통안전 및 도로 이용자들에게 안전하고 쾌적한 도로 환경을 제공하기 위해 여름철 집중호우 등으로 파손 및 기능이 저하된 시설물을 정비하고 겨울철 강설에 대비하기 위한 중점 정비사항 11개 분야의 도로 정비 실적을 평가했다.
울진군은 도로 유지관리를 위하여 올해 3억 9,800만원의 예산을 확보하고 자체 보유 인력ㆍ장비를 활용해 해안도로 월파로 인한 모래 청소, 교통사고 발생위험이 있는 곳에 안전시설물 설치, 호우 시 낙엽 등에 의한 배수로 막힌 구간 정비, 도로 노면 포트홀 등 긴급보수를 실시했다.
또한 불법현수막 철거 등 주민 불편 최소화와 신속한 도로 응급복구 활동으로 안전사고 발생을 막고자 최선의 노력을 다하는 등 안전하고 쾌적한 도로환경 제공에 크게 기여한 점이 높이 평가됐다.
또한, 자체 설해대책을 마련하고 제설장비 정비 및 제설자재 확보, 유관기관과의 긴밀한 협조체계 구축 등으로 원활하고 안전한 교통소통을 위해 힘쓰고 있다.
