브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자 = 주호영 국민의힘 원내대표는 19일 문재인 정부 시절 범정부 차원의 통계 조작이 의심된다고 밝혔다.
주호영 원내대표는 이날 비상대책위원회의에서 "이번에 감사원 감사 결과를 보니 통계 조작이 우리가 예상했던 바를 훨씬 뛰어넘는 범죄 행위가 개입된 것이 점차 드러나고 있다"며 "통계 조작의 정도와 범위를 볼 때 이 문제가 단순히 통계청장 개인의 곡학아세나 출세 요구로만 치부될 수 있는 것이 아닌, 훨씬 더 범위를 넘는 범정부 전체적인 묵인이나 조작이 있지 않았는가 하는 그런 의심을 가지고 있다"고 말했다.
주 원내대표는 "우리는 이미 황수경 전 통계청장이 경질 교체될 때부터 문재인 정권이 통계에 대해서 마음에 안 들어서 쫓아 내보내고 통계를 마음에 맞게 할 청장을 구하고 있다는 사실을 알고 있었고, 이미 성토하고 경고한 바 있다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "소득분배, 비정규직 숫자, 부동산 가격 등의 여러 분야에서 고의적인 조작 행위를 하면서 표본의 자의적인 교체는 물론 숫자 인위적 입력 같은 짓도 저질렀다고 한다"며 "심지어 조작의 대가로 인사 특혜까지 있었다는 내부 진술까지 나오고 있다"고 전했다. 이어 "통계 조작은 점수 조작이나 성적 조작 못지않은 중대 범죄 행위이자 국기문란 행위"라며 "지난 정권의 통계 조작 전모를 파헤쳐서 불법이 있다면 엄중 처벌해야 할 것"이라고 주장했다.
