[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도는 사천 서부일반산업단지 계획과 거창 첨단 일반산업단지 계획을 승인했다고 26일 밝혔다.
사천 서부일반산업단지는 사천시장이 사천시 곤양면 맥사리 일원 31만㎡ 규모에 총사업비 716억원을 투입해 2024년까지 조성 계획이고 거창 첨단 일반산업단지는 거창군수가 거창군 남상면 대산리 산147번지 일원 30만㎡에 467억원을 들여 2025년까지 조성할 계획이라고 전했다.
해당 산업단지는 사천시와 거창군에서 직접 시행하는 공영개발방식으로 시군 권역별 주력산업 수요에 대비해 효율적인 토지이용계획, 기업 수요 등을 반영한 지역별 특화업종이 구성되어 있으며 안정적이고 체계적인 산업용지 공급이 가능하다.
사천 서부일반산단은 남해고속도로 곤양IC와 국도 58호선, 지방도 1002호선 등 주요도로와 연접해 접근성이 양호하고 최근 우주항공청 설립과 우주산업 협력지구 위성 특화지구 지정 등으로 서부 경남지역의 우주항공산업 에 대한 기반시설 수요가 급증할 것으로 예상된다.
또한 대상지 반경 10㎞ 이내에 경남항공국가산업단지, 사천 제1,2 일반산업단지, 곤양농공단지 등 산업단지가 있어 기업 간의 네트워크 및 교류로 지역 산업기반의 동반 상승효과가 창출될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
유치업종은 기타 기계 및 장비 제조업, 금속가공부품 제조업, 비금속광물제품제조업, 자동차 및 트레일러 제조업 등이고 광역교통망 접근성을 고려해 창고 및 운송관련 서비스업도 포함시켰다.

사천시와 거창군은 신속한 사업 착수를 위해 토지 및 지장물 조사 등 토지보상절차를 진행해 사천 서부산단은 사유지 보상율 82%, 거창 첨단 일반산단은 33% 완료되어 이번 산업단지계획 승인으로 산업단지 조성에 박차를 가할 것으로 보고 있다.
향후 산업단지가 조성되면, 경제적 파급효과로 사천 서부일반산단은 고용창출 713명, 생산유발 1,038억원, 부가가치유발 382억원, 거창 첨단 일반산단은 고용창출 2,031명, 생산유발 3,154억원, 부가가치유발 1,076억원이 유발되어 사천과 거창의 제조업 성장과 지역 경제 활성화에 기여할 것으로 본다.
