[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시립소년소녀합창단은 졸업하는 단원들이 소아암 환우들을 위해 아름다운 전통인 머리카락을 기부하는 선한영향력을 이어 갔다고 28일 밝혔다.
이는 합창단의 공연을 위해 그동안 길러온 머리카락을 의미 없이 자르는 것보다 항암치료를 받고 있는 소아암 환우들을 위해 기부하고 싶다는 단원들의 뜻에 따라 매년 이어오고 있으며 올해도 이런 선한영향력의 전통을 이어가게 됐다.
이번에 졸업하는 단원 중 5명, 김시은(진해신항중 2학년), 한승희(반림중 3학년), 김민채(구산중 2학년), 이다연(반송여중 1학년), 전채원(창원남산초 6학년)은 그동안 길러온 머리카락을 ‘어머나’ 운동본부에 기부했다.
김시은 학생은 “몇 년 동안 길러온 머리카락을 한 번에 자르니 어색하긴 하지만, 나보다 어린 친구들이 머리카락 없이 투병하는데 도움이 된다고 생각하니 기쁘게 동참할 수 있었다.”며, 이내 밝은 표정을 지었다.
창원시립소년소녀합창단의 머리카락 기부는 2018년부터 이어지고 있는 전통으로, 작년에도 3명의 졸업단원들이 머리카락을 기부한 바 있다.
