[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 구인모 거창군수는 지난 28일 거창군의회 의원 11명과 함께 거창읍 대평리에 위치한 청년경영실습임대농장을 방문했다고 밝혔다.
이날 현장방문은 청년경영실습임대농장 조성과정과 딸기 재배현황 설명, 스마트팜 시연 순으로 진행했으며 직접 딸기를 따서 시식해 보기도 했다.
청년경영실습임대농장은 귀농을 꿈꾸는 청년들의 꿈을 현실로 이뤄주기 위해 2020년 농림부 공모사업에 선정되어 연동형하우스로 4동을 조성했으며, 2021년 행정안전부 지역주도형 뉴딜사업 공모사업으로 선정되어 스마트팜 시설을 추가 설치했다.
임대농장 임차인의 자격요건은 영농경력이 3년 이하인 만 40세 미만의 청년 농업인이며 공모절차를 거쳐 3년간 운영을 하고 있다.
이날 방문한 농장은 대구한의대 출신 ‘하니팜’과 청년귀농인이 스마트팜 시설을 활용해 딸기를 공동 재배하고 있으며 2023년 2월부터는 딸기 따기 체험농장으로 병행해서 운영할 계획이다.
거창군 농업기술센터는 귀농귀촌인 유치를 위해 20개 사업을 추진하고 있으며 거창군으로 귀농을 희망하는 사람을 위해 ‘농촌에서 살아보기’ 사업을, 귀촌을 희망하는 사람은 ‘거창한 체험마을 한 달 살기’ 등 다양한 시책을 추진하고 있다.
이건희 될농 대표는 “거창군과 군의회의 많은 도움을 받아 이렇게 농장을 잘 운영할 수 있게 되어 감사드린다”며 “청년경영실습임대농장을 통해 거창군으로 귀농을 희망하는 예비 귀농인에게 꿈과 희망을 주는 역할을 통해 실질적인 인구증가에 보탬이 되겠다”고 의지를 밝혔다.
