브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 롯데건설은 17일 보도자료를 통해 설 명절을 앞두고 지난 11일과 16일 이틀에 걸쳐 서울연탄은행과 부산연탄은행에 각 4만 장씩 총 8만 장의 연탄을 기부했다고 밝혔다.
롯데건설은 독거노인과 복지 사각지대에 있는 이웃 등 에너지 취약 세대의 겨울철 난방비 부담을 덜어주기 위해 연탄 나눔을 진행했다. 롯데건설이 기부한 연탄은 서울 노원구, 성북구, 강남구 지역과 부산 동구, 서구, 사하구, 진구 남구 지역에 전달됐다.
롯데건설의 ‘사랑의 연탄 나눔’은 2011년부터 시작해 올해로 13년째를 맞았다. 현재까지 기부한 연탄의 수량은 올해 기부 건을 포함해 서울지역 32만 장, 부산 지역 등 30만2000 장 총 62만 2000 장에 달한다.
롯데건설 관계자는 “어르신들에게 전달한 연탄이 따뜻한 명절을 나는데 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 진정성 있는 나눔 활동을 통해 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 기업이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 이번에 전달된 연탄은 롯데건설 ‘1:3 매칭 그랜트 제도’를 통해 조성된 기금으로 마련됐다. 롯데건설은 전 임직원이 매달 사회에 환원하는 기부금의 3배의 금액을 회사가 함께 기부하는 봉사 제도로 2011년부터 시행해오고 있다.
