[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김선민 창원특례시 마산합포구청장은 지역 도·시의원을 초청해 정책 및 지역 현안문제 해결을 위해 간담회를 개최 했다고 31일 밝혔다.
이날 간담회에는 마산합포구를 지역구로 두고 있는, 김이근 시의회 의장과 강용범 도의회 부의장을 비롯한 지역 도·시의원 10명과 김선민 마산합포구청장 등 구청 간부공무원 13명이 참석했다.
합포구에 따르면 이번 간담회는 코로나19 여파, 물가상승, 고금리 등 복합적인 위기로 위축된 지역 경제 회복과 시급한 현안 해결을 위한 긴밀한 공조체제 구축을 위해 마련됐다.
이날 논의된 현안사업으로는 ▲완월동 행정복지센터 신축공사 ▲대형폐기물 파쇄장 시설 및 운영방식 개선 추진 ▲Sea & Wood 향기나라 데크로드 정비사업 ▲자산축협-무학연립간 도로개설 ▲월영 젊음의 거리 조성사업 ▲창원소하천변 노후 데크로드 정비사업 등 총 12건으로 지역주민의 불편·불안 해소와 도시 이미지 개선이라는 측면에서 선별된 사업들이다.
김선민 구청장은 “5개 구 중 가장 넓은 면적과 해안선을 가지고 있는 내륙·해양 연접도시이자 도·농 복합도시인 마산합포구의 도시 특성으로 인해 굵직하고 다양한 행정 수요가 계속해서 발생하고 있다”며 “이러한 현안에 발빠르게 대응하고 마산합포구의 미래를 이끌지속가능한 성장 동력 확보를 위해서는 지역 도·시의원과의 연대의 힘이 무엇보다 중요함에 따라 이번 간담회와 같은 소통의 자리를 자주 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.
