“This year, the recruitment of new college graduates is narrowing”.
Recruitment scale conservative under the influence of the economic recession... Recruitment plans for medium-sized and small businesses are increasing
Break News Reporter Moon Hong-cheol= Four out of five companies (79.3%) said they would hire new college graduates this year. Of these, 51.7% have finalized their hiring plans, and 27.6% are coordinating detailed plans such as hiring schedules and personnel.
Incruitrk conducted a survey of a total of 751 companies, including △75 large companies △147 medium-sized companies △529 small and medium-sized companies, regarding their plans to recruit new college graduates this year.
First, as a result of classifying companies that have finalized recruitment plans by size, 46.7% of large companies, 54.4% of medium-sized companies, and 51.6% of small and medium-sized companies. If companies that are yet to be finalized but are highly likely to be hired are added, large companies accounted for 72.0%, medium-sized companies 75.5%, and small and medium-sized businesses 81.3%.
The recruitment plans of medium-sized and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), excluding conglomerates, increased significantly compared to last year. This year, the share of large enterprises was 72.0%, down 1%p from last year's 73.0%, while the share of medium-sized companies increased by 26.0%p from 49.5% last year to 75.5% this year, and the share of small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 35.3%p from 46.0% last year to 81.3% this year. This is analyzed to reflect the influence of the recent labor shortage experienced by mid-sized and small and medium-sized enterprises in the survey.
Regarding the recruitment method, among new college graduates, ‘occasional recruitment in the first half of the year’ was the most common. However, more responses than this were ‘occasional recruitment of experienced positions’.
Large corporations hire experienced workers at any time (61.1%), first half of the year college graduates are hired at any time (51.9%), medium-sized companies are hired at any time (67.6%), college graduates are hired at any time in the first half of the year (54.1%), small and medium-sized enterprises are hired at any time (50.0%) , was surveyed as occasional recruitment of new college graduates in the first half (31.6%).
As for the scale of recruitment, △ single-digit 20.0%, double-digit 77.1%, and three-digit 2.9% for large companies, △ single-digit 25.0%, double-digit 72.5%, and three-digit 2.5% for medium-sized companies, △ single-digit 86.8%, two-digit for small and medium-sized companies. It was 13.2% in the digits, and there were no places that pulled out three digits.
Compared to the same survey last year, the single- and double-digit hiring plans of large companies increased, but the three-digit or higher hiring plans plummeted. Mid-sized companies increased their double-digit hiring plans, while their single-digit and triple-digit hiring plans decreased, while small and medium-sized enterprises increased their single-digit hiring plans while their double-digit and triple-digit hiring plans fell.
In other words, the number of companies intending to hire new college graduates increased compared to last year, but it is characterized by the fact that they focused on small-scale recruitment, and that there were more companies that planned to hire experienced workers at any time than new college graduates. Considering this, it is expected that the employment opportunities for new college graduates will be narrower than last year.
