[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 15일 오후 도청 접견실에서 튀르키예 국민을 돕기 위한 10만 달러의 긴급구호금을 대한적십자사에 전달했다.
지난 13일에 열린 경남도정 제안광장에서 박완수 경상남도지사는 “수많은 사상자가 발생하고 있는 튀르키예 국민들이 다시 일어설 수 있도록 지원 방안을 적극 강구하라”고 지시한 바 있다.
경남도는 튀르키예 대지진 피해 이재민들이 다시 힘을 낼 수 있도록 지원 방안을 다각적으로 마련해 나가는 데 박차를 가하기로 했다.
박완수 도지사를 비롯한 도 소속 공직자들부터 솔선수범하는 모습으로 성금 모금에 참여하기로 하고, 모금액은 모금기관을 통해 튀르키예 이재민의 생활 안정을 위한 용도로 사용된다.
또한, 시·군에 소속된 민간단체와 도민 등을 대상으로 주한 튀르키예 대사관에 구호물품이 기부될 수 있도록 적극적으로 홍보해 나갈 계획이다.
김병규 경남도 경제부지사는 “지금 이 순간에도 소중한 생명을 구하고 피해 복구에 혼신의 힘을 다하고 있는 튀르키예 중앙정부와 지방정부, 관계기관에 격려와 응원의 말씀을 드린다”며 “경남도는 대한민국 정부, 지방자치단체와 함께 튀르키예 재난 극복을 위한 국제사회 노력에 적극 동참하겠다”고 밝혔다.
