[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시가 진주 K-기업가정신 세계적 확산이 속도를 낼 것으로 전망된다.
진주시는 시청 기업인의 방에서 세계중소기업협의회(ICSB)와 진주 K-기업가정신의 세계적 확산을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 16일 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 조규일 진주시장, ICSB 회장 아이먼 타라비쉬(Ayman Tarabishy), ICSB 차기 회장 김기찬 가톨릭대학교 교수가 참석했다.
이번 협약은 오는 7월 광주광역시에서 개최되는 세계중소기업협의회 세계대회와 진주시에서 개최되는 ‘진주 K-기업가정신 국제학술대회’성공개최를 위한 협조체계 구축을 목적으로 이뤄졌다.
협약의 주요내용은 물적ㆍ인적자원의 교류와 기업가정신 학문적 협력, 세계중소기업협의회 세계대회 개최 협력, 진주 K-기업가정신 세계적 확산 협력 등이다.
아이먼 타라비쉬 회장은 “K-기업가정신을 세계로 확산시키려는 진주시의 노력에 경의를 표한다”며“오는 6월 27일 개최되는 유엔 중소기업의 날 행사에 조규일 진주시장이 대한민국 기업가정신을 주제로 기조연설을 해 줄 것”을 요청했다.
이에 조규일 진주시장은 아이먼 타라비쉬 회장의 공식 초청을 수락하며, “오는 6월 27일 유엔 중소기업의 날 행사에서 K-기업가정신을 세계인들에게 알릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
이어 조 시장은“진주 K-기업가정신을 세계로 확산시키기 위해서는 국제단체인 세계중소기업협의회와 긴밀한 협조와 더불어 K-기업가정신의 학문적 가치를 국제무대에서 인정받는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다”고 덧붙였다.
한편 세계중소기업협의회(ICSB)는 지난 1955년 미국에서 설립돼 창업과 중소기업 관련해 활동하는 세계적인 단체로 미국 워싱턴DC 본부, 미국ㆍ캐나다ㆍ한국ㆍ일본 등 14개국에서 지부를 운영하고 있다.
