한국특수교육재단/한국공인탐정협회는 사단법인 日本調査業協會(Japan Investigation Service Association)와 국제교류 업무제휴 협약을 맺었다.
또한 PIA탐정사 회원들의 탐정 인터폴 국제 교류 활동을 목적으로 (사)日本調査業協會에서 발행하는 JISA인증 Level 3급 “탐정업무취급자” 일본 탐정 JISA자격취득 연수교육을 북해도(훗가이도) “눈축제” 기간에 맞추어 2023년 2월 7일부터 11일까지 5일간 실시하였다.

한국 명탐정 PIA탐정사 자격취득자들을 대상으로 제6기 일본 탐정연수 교육이 진행되었으며, 이번 일본 탐정연수교육 참가자는 하금석회장(한국공인탐정협회), 정철근교수(현.행정사탐정사무소), 박권욱교수(전.대구서부경찰서장),고익현(현. ㈜오아시스컨설팅 대표),송수호(전. 용산구청 퇴직 현.행정사), 정홍구교수(전.경찰수사연수원), 강덕주대표(현.한국PIA탐정센터), 최영식팀장(현.충북청경찰공무원),김미선(현.서울청경찰공무원),장재웅교수(현.웅장탐정대표),조성현대표(현.스테이트스코리아),김명섭대표(현.김명섭탐정사무소), 이승민대표(현.슬기로운탐정), 최환욱대표(현. 오엔탐정법인) 박지수기자(뉴델일리) 등 PIA탐정 회원 총 21명이 참가하여 진행됐다.
교육내용으로는 행동 및 행방조사, 고용조사, 비즈니스활동, 보고서 작성, 이론 및 현장실무 실습교육, 일본 탐정자격취득 평가 등의 전문화 교육으로 구성됐다.

일본은 이미 2007년부터 공인탐정제도가 법제화되어 국가공안위원회 일본경시청 소관부처로 신고제로 운영되고 있으며 OECD국가 중 탐정제도가 가장 활성화되어 있는 국가로서, 이번 일본 탐정연수 특별교육과정을 통해 참가자들은 일본 탐정제도 및 민간조사업의 발전사에 대한 전문 지식과 일본 탐정의 업무범위, 일본 탐정회사 견학 등 선진국의 탐정제도 발전에 대한 전문지식을 습득하는 좋은 기회가 마련되었다.

또한 한국과 일본 양국 협회간의 상호 협력관계 구축을 통해 탐정 전문교육 등 각종 사건, 사고, 사실조사 업무 교류를 통해 동반 성장의 계기가 마련되고 있다.
한국특수교육재단/한국공인탐정협회 에서 주관 및 시행하는 PIA탐정사 자격취득 과정은 동국대학교 등 전국 다수의 대학교와 공동 주관으로 시행되며, 사단법인 한국자격관리협회에서 인증 및 평가하는 22년의 역사와 전통을 자랑하는 국내의 탐정(민간조사) 전문 자격증으로 21C 새로운 유망 전문직으로 각광 받고 있다.
