브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 농협중앙회는 튀르키예 및 시리아 지역에 발생한 지진 피해로 어려움을 겪는 이재민들을 위해 임직원들의 기증구호물품을 21일 전달했다고 밝혔다.
이날 이성희 농협중앙회장과 김용택 전국금융산업노동조합 NH농협지부 위원장 등은 튀르키예 이재민들을 위해 구호물품 박스를 차량에 실었다.
기부되는 구호물품은 지난 14일부터 전국 범농협 임직원들이 자발적으로 기증한 겨울의류 및 방한용품, 위생용품 등으로 주한 튀르키예 대사관을 통해 이재민들에게 전달될 계획이다.
이 외에도 이성희 농협중앙회장은 이날 오후 서울 중구 주한 튀르키예 대사관을 방문해 살리 무랏 타메르 주한 튀르키예 대사를 만나 지진 희생자를 애도하고 조문했다.
한편, 농협은 튀르키예 협동조합과 농업인의 피해복구를 위해 긴급구호금 40만 달러를 이달 12일 현지 협동조합과 국제구호단체 등을 통해 지원한 바 있다.
