창원중앙도서관, 제55회 한국도서관상 수상

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 창원중앙도서관이 23일 한국도서관협회가 주최·주관하고 국립중앙도서관에서 열린 한국도서관협회 제74차 정기총회에서 제55회 한국도서관상 단체상을 수상했다.

한국도서관상은 1969년 제정된 국내 도서관계 최고 권위의 상으로 도서관 발전에 공적이 현저한 개인과 단체에게 수여하고 있다.

올해에는 1,390개 기관에서 대상 1개 관을 비롯해 단체 14개 관, 개인 16명, 감사패 2명이 수상자로 선정됐다. 이 가운데 창원중앙도서관은 경남에서 유일하게 단체상을 수상했다.

창원중앙도서관은 지역 특색을 살린 도서관 건립, 창원중앙도서관 리모델링 등 도서관 인프라 확충과 함께 책 읽는 문화 확산을 위해 야외독서문화 행사인 창원 북페스타 개최, 도서관계 최대 행사인 제59회 전국도서관대회·전시회 성료 등 국내 도서관 발전 및 도서관 문화 진흥에 기여한 공로를 인정받았다.

안익태 도서관사업소장은 개인으로 한국도서관상 감사패를 수여받았다.

창원시 도서관의 기관 및 개인 역량을 대외적으로 인정받고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

박경란 성산도서관과장은 “한국도서관상 수상을 계기로 문화도시 창원이 되도록 도서관을 시민들에게 새로운 영감과 희망을 주는 공간으로 조성해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
