[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시가 23일 관내 3개 대학 및 김해상공회의소와 ‘대학생 현장실습 학기제’ 활성화 업무협약식을 개최했다.
대학생 현장실습 학기제는 지역 우수 기업체와 연계해 학기별로 3개월간 전공 특화교육으로 직무역량을 강화하는 사업으로 참여 대학생의 현장실습비를 기존 기업 75%, 대학이 25%를 부담했으나 이번 협약으로 시에서 기업 부담분 25%를 지원해 기업의 부담을 덜어준다.
이번 협약은 홍태용 시장 취임 이후 관내 기업체 방문 시 현장실습비 부담 완화를 바라는 건의가 많아 올해부터 기업부담금 75% 중 25%를 시에서 지원하는 활성화 사업을 추진하게 됐다.
이날 협약식에는 홍 시장을 비롯해 인제대 전민현, 가야대 이상희, 김해대 편금식 총장과 김해상의 김상진 대외협력부회장 등이 참석해 협약서에 서명하고 활성화 방안을 논의했다.
올해는 인제대 35명, 가야대 7명, 김해대 7명 등 3개 대학에서 총 49명이 관내 기업체의 현장실습에 참여하게 되며 연내 추가로 기업과 학생을 발굴해 사업을 확대할 방침이다.
홍 시장은 “지역의 대학생이 현장실습 기회로 관내 기업에 취업하는 선순환 구조의 활성화가 필요하다”며 “관내 대학과 지역 기업이 연계하는 지산학 협력 생태계 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 김해시는 지난 15일 구인구직 미스매치 해소를 위해 올해 처음으로 구직자 기업 방문 ‘희망 일자리 버스’를 운영해 참여한 구직자 35명 중 16명이 현장 채용되는 성과를 거둔 바 있다.
