세종시 상권 활성화를 위한 상인협의체 간담회가 24일 열렸다.

세종시는 이날 세종우체국 중회의실에서 간담회를 갖고 상권 활성화 마련에 나섰다.

시는 상인조직과의 소통강화를 위해 분기별 1회씩 간담회 개최를 정례화하고 있으며 이날 간담회는 지난해 10월 1차 간담회 이후 두 번째 만남이다.

간담회는 세종시 소상공인연합회·소상공인협회·자영업소상공인중앙회 및 한솔동·나성동·아름동·조치원중심가로·종촌동 상점가 상인회 관계자 등이 참석했다.

세종시는 간담회에서 소상공인·자영업자 매출감소에 따른 어려움과 건의사항을 청취하고, 지역상권 활성화 방안 마련을 위한 연구용역 추진 계획과 상권성장 도약을 위한 시 주요사업에 대해 의견을 나눴다.

장원호 소상공인과장은 “상가 공실 문제와 이에 따른 지역상권 침체는 단기간에 해결하기 어려운 과제”라며 “하지만 올해 소상공인과를 신설한 만큼 책임감을 갖고 지역의 어려움을 해소하는데 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
