세종시가 내년도 정부예산 확보 목표 1조 5000억 원 달성을 위해 총력전을 펼친다.
이를 위해 세종시는 7일 시청에서 최민호 시장 등 간부 공직자들이 참석한 가운데 ‘2024년도 정부예산 확보 보고회’를 개최했다..
1조 5000억 원의 정부예산 확보에 나선 세종시의 이날 보고회에서는 내년도 정부예산 확보 목표액으로 올해 확보액인 1조 3874억 원보다 10% 상향한 1조 5000억 원이 제시됐다.
이날 보고회에서 정부예산 확보 추진 방향은 미래전략수도 건설 등을 위한 역점 및 신규사업의 반영을 위해 전략적 대응 추진을 하기로 하고, 신규 국비 사업으로 국립안전체험관 건립 ,문화도시 지정 ,비단강 지역맞춤형 통합하천 사업 ,월하천 자연재해 위험개선지구 정비 등이 제시됐다.
또한, 행정수도 완성을 위한 국회세종의사당·대통령제2집무실 건립사업과 주요 현안 사업인 2027 하계세계대학경기대회의 성공적 개최를 위한 대평동 종합체육시설 건립 대응 방안도 중점적으로 논의됐다.
교통 기반시설 구축을 위한 세종～안성, 세종～청주 고속국도의 현안 사업도 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 국비 확보에 만전을 기울이기로 했다.
한편, 최민호 시장은 지난달 9일 기획재정부 예산실장과 접견을 가진데 이어 지난 2일에는 송언석 국민의힘 원내수석부대표를 만나 세종시 현안사업에 대한 관심과 지원을 요청한 바 있다.
