○…필자(본지 발행인)는 걷는 게 취미 중의 하나이다. 주말이면, 특히 일요일이면, 서울도심의 산책에 나선다. 이 가운데 서울 광화문 동아일보사 앞-청계천-동대문-낙산 성곽길-한성대-혜화문 앞까지의 8km 거리 걷기를 좋아한다. 지난 4월9일 오전 11시. 이 길 걷기에 나섰다. 총 걷는 시간은 2시간 30분 정도. 몸 운동도 되지만, 정신적으로는 생각도 정리된다.
○…서울시 광화문에서 시작되는 청계천에서 혜화동까지의 산책로를 걸으면, 대한민국과 서울의 발전을 실감할 수 있다. 이곳은 발전된 대한민국을 볼 수 있는 쇼 윈도우 지역이다. 최근에는 이 거리를 걷는 외국인들이 많아졌다. 외국인 여행객들이 이 지역을 와서, 발전한 대한민국의 아름다움을 만끽한다.

○…낙산 성곽은 1396년(이조시대 태조 5년)부터 축조됐다. 그러하니 2돌로 쌓은 성곽은 돌과 돌끼리 의존하면 수 백년(627년)을 견뎌냈다. 낙산 성곽거리. 아주 아름답다. 수 백년, 제 자리만 지켜온 돌들의 변하지 않는 불변의 성품을 존경한다. 인간관계가 성공할 수 있는 그 무엇, 그 무엇의 철학도 묻어난다.
