【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시는 오는 24일부터 26일까지 경주화백컨벤션센터(HICO) 1층 전시장에서 ‘2023 국제원자력에너지산업전’을 개최한다고 21일 밝혔다.

국내 원자력 산업의 우수성을 알리고 원전·기자재 수출 지원을 위해 열리는 이번 행사는 경북도, 경주시, 한국수력원자력㈜, 한국원자력산업협회가 주최하고 과학기술정보통신부와 산업통상자원부가 공동 후원한다.
또 행사기간 동안 같은 장소에서 한국원자력 학회 주관으로 ‘원자력산업국제회의(ICAPP)’와 ‘제38회 한국원자력연차대회’도 통합 개최된다.
산업전은 한국수력원자력, 한전KPS, 한국전력기술 등 원자력 공기업을 비롯해 오라노(프랑스), 웨시팅하우스(미국) 등 해외기업과 동인엔지니어링, 유투엔지 등 국내 원전 관련 사업의 대표 등 4개국, 47개 기관이 대거 참가해 87부스 규모로 진행된다.
전시회는 △원자력 안전, 원전기자재 및 설비 △원전해체, 방폐물 처리·운송·저장 △방사선 의료 등 에너지 전 분야 등이 전시돼 원전 기자재 신제품과 기술 교류로 원자력산업 부흥의 장이 될 것으로 기대된다.
부대행사로 행사 첫날 오전에는 국내외 판로개척을 위해 주요 원전 공기업 5곳의 ‘동반성장사업 설명회’가 개최되며, 첫날 오후와 둘째 날 오전부터는 8개 기관 12개 본부가 참여하는 ‘원자력 및 전력 기지재 구매 상담회’가 열린다.
둘째 날 오전에는 아랍에미리트와 국내 원전기업 간 네트워킹을 위해 ‘UAE Nawah Energy Company 공급자 설명회’가 실시되고, 오후에는 해외진출 희망기업 기자재 수출 교두보 마련을 위해 ‘중소기업 해외 수출상담회’가 진행된다.
마지막 날에는 △5개 공공 기관의 취업설명회 △공공 및 민간기업 7곳의 취업상담회 △취업 준비존, 취업힐링, 취업투어존의 취업체험센터 등 통합채용박람회가 펼쳐진다.
특히 23일부터 27일까지 경주화백컨벤션센터(HICO) 3층에서 열리는 ‘2023 원자력산업 국제회의’는 3개의 특별 세션과 12개 전문분야별 기술세션에서 약 300편의 논문이 발표된다.
여기서 한국, 미국, 일본 원자력학회장을 포함한 전 세계 원자력 전문가뿐만 아니라 우리나라 원전 수출 대상국인 UAE, 폴란드, 체코 등에서도 참가해 우리나라 원자력 기술력을 확인할 예정이다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “최근 고유가 사태 등 국제에너지 정세를 볼 때 국가산업과 경제 발전의 원동력으로 원자력의 중요성은 더욱 부각되고 있다”라며 “이번 행사로 국내 원자력의 우수성을 바로 알고 국내 원자력산업 생태계에 활력이 넘치는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
