브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 우신시스템이 16일 리비안 전기차 차체 자동화 라인을 수주했다고 공시했다.
공급금액은 한화로 157억원(1176만달러) 규모이며 미국 일리노이주 노멀에 있는 리비안 공장으로 납품된다.
이는 지난해 매출액 대비 6.18%에 해당하는 규모로 계약기간은 내년 3월31일까지다.
리비안(RIVIAN)은 주력 차종인 R1S와 R1T의 자동화라인 중 일부를 우신시스템에 발주했다. 지난 2021년 물류VAN 배터리 라인을 납품 한후 두 번째 수주이기도 하다.
우신시스템 관계자는 "리비안이 전력 차종인 R1에 대해 그간의 문제점을 극복하고 본격적인 대량 생산을 위해 당사의 최신 라인을 도입하게 되는 것"이라며 "현지 법인과 협업을 통해 GM·포드 등 기존 거래처를 포함해 보다 더 적극적으로 미국 시장을 공략할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

Wooshin System Wins Rivian Electric Vehicle Body Automation Line..15.7 billion won
Wooshin System announced on the 16th that it has won an order for Rivian electric vehicle body automation line.
The supply amount is 15.7 billion won (US$11.76 million) in Hanwha and will be delivered to the Rivian plant in Normal, Illinois.
This is 6.18% of last year's sales, and the contract period is until March 31 next year.
RIVIAN has ordered some of the automation lines of its flagship models, the R1S and the R1T, from Wooshin System. It is also the second order since it delivered the logistics VAN battery line in 2021.
