[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 8일 거창 아트갤러리 건립 자문단, 관계 공무원, 용역사가 참석한 가운데 지역 우수 미술관 견학을 위해 남원시립 김병종 미술관과 함평군립미술관을 방문했다.

이날 거창 아트갤러리 건립 자문위원들은 미술관 관계자로부터 시설 및 운영현황과 관련된 설명을 듣고 거창 아트갤러리만의 특색을 반영할 수 있는 시설물 건립과 운영방향에 대해 다양한 의견을 제시하고 논의했다.

이번 우수 미술관 견학 대상지는 지난 1월에 방문한 부산현대미술관, 클레이아크김해미술관에 비해 미술관 규모는 작지만, 지방 소도시 실정에 맞는 미술관을 대상으로 자문단을 통해 추천받아 선정하게 됐다.

두 미술관 모두 유명한 지역작가가 기증한 소장품과 지역적 특색을 기반으로 하는 다양한 프로그램 운영을 통해 방문객의 발길이 끊이지 않고 있어 지역 미술관으로서 높은 평가를 받고 있다.

조호경 문화관광과장은 “우리 군 실정에 맞는 거창 아트갤러리가 되도록 선진지 견학 등을 통해 다양한 우수사례를 반영해 군민의 문화 향유 여건을 개선하고 지역 예술인의 창작활동을 자극하는 더 큰 문화도시 거창이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
