군에 따르면 지난 제5회 창원시장배 전국사격대회에서 여자 일반부 10m 공기소총 단체 1위(권은지, 장정인, 류나영, 모수정), 제16회 대통령경호처장기 전국사격대회 여자 일반부 10m 공기소총 단체 3위, 2023 한국실업연맹회장배 여자 일반부 10m 공기소총 단체 3위를 차지했다.
또한‘2023 춘천시장배 전국사격대회’여자 일반부 10m 공기소총 단체 1위, 개인 3위(장정인), 제3회 홍범도장군배 사격대회 여자 주니어 공기권총 개인 1위(이수민), 2위(심예림), 여자 주니어 공기소총 개인 2위(장정인), 3위(권은지), 여자 시니어 공기소총 개인 3위(류나영)를 차지하는 등 연이어 좋은 성적을 거두었다.
아울러 울진군청 사격실업팀(감독 이효철)은 대한체육회 하계종목 직장운동경기부 운영 지원 공모사업에 선정되어 국비 4,750만 원을 확보해 2년 연속 대한체육회 예산을 지원받게 됐다.
이 사업은 직장운동경기부를 운영하는 지방체육회 및 지방자치단체, 공공기관, 기업 등을 대상으로 직장운동경기부 운영계획, 인권 친화 문화 조성 노력, 선수단 운영 실적, 사회 공헌 노력 등 4개 영역 13개 항목 모든 분야를 평가하여 선정한다.
울진군은 이번 지원금을 선수들의 기량 향상을 위한 국외 전지훈련, 훈련물품 구입 비용 등으로 집행할 예정이다.
손병복 울진군수는 “울진군청 사격실업팀 직장운동경기부가 연이어 좋은 성과를 거두어 기쁘다”며 “울진군을 빛낼 선수들이 훈련에 불편함이 없도록 여건 개선에 적극 지원하겠다”라고 전했다.
한편, 울진군청 사격실업팀은 6월 27일부터 7월 3일까지 창원에서 열리는 2023 한화회장배 전국사격대회에 출전한다.
