울진군, 산불 피해지역 마을만들기사업에 속도

군에 따르면 이 사업은 2022년 6월 농림수산식품부 공모사업으로 선정된 농촌협약 사업의 연계사업으로, 지난해 3월 울진군 대형산불로 인한 피해가 심각한 14개 마을(울진읍 2개, 북면 6개, 금강송면 1개, 근남면 1개, 매화면 2개, 죽변면 2개)에 2023년부터 2027년까지 5년간 군비 총 70억원을 투입하여 기반 시설 정비를 위한 소규모주민숙원사업 및 안전시설 설치, 마을 경관 개선 등을 추진하게 된다.

이번 1차 년도 산불 피해지역 마을만들기사업은 사업비 25억원 규모의 마을당 5억원으로 5개마을(북면 검성리·고목1리·소곡1리, 죽변면 화성2리·4리)에 대하여 2022년 12월부터 2023년 6월까지 기본계획 및 실시설계를 시행하였고, 올해 연말까지 사업을 완료할 계획이다.

손병복 울진군수는 “올해 1차 년도 사업이 완료되면 산불로 인해 피폐해진 피해지역의 정주 여건이 개선되어, 지역주민의 조속한 일상회복이 가능해질 것이다”며“마을회관과 같은 거점시설의 정비로 마을공동체에 활력을 불어넣을 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”라고 말했다.
