브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 국민연금공단은 국민연금나눔재단을 통해 집중호우 피해지역 주민을 위한 성금 8600만 원을 사회복지공동모금회에 전달한다고 3일 밝혔다.
임직원 후원금과 사회공헌기금으로 마련한 성금은 폭우로 삶의 터전을 잃고 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역주민의 피해복구에 사용된다.
공단은 이달 1일부터 3일까지 특별재난지역에 속한 사회복지공동모금회 충남·충북·전북·경북지회로 성금 전달을 마쳤다.
3일에는 전북지역 피해복구를 위해 김신열 국민연금나눔재단 이사장과 이범석 국민연금공단 복지사업센터장이 유병설 사회복지공동모금회 전북지회 사무처장에게 2000만 원을 전달했다.
한편, 공단은 지난 7월 27일에 수해 피해가 심각했던 청양군 정산면에서 수해 복구 봉사활동을 하기도 했다. 이날 대전세종지역본부장을 비롯한 충청지역 직원들이 토사 정리, 배수로 복구 등 일손을 도왔다.
김태현 이사장은 “공단의 성금이 피해복구에 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “기습적인 폭우로 삶의 터전을 잃고 힘들어하는 이재민 분들이 희망을 잃지 않도록 위로와 용기를 전하고 싶다”고 전했다.
