한중도시우호협회는 8월12인자 보도자료에서 “권기식 한중도시우호협회장은 12일 서울 강남구 청담동 소재 R호텔 중식당에서 한국을 방문 중인 정찌융(鄭繼永) 중국 푸단대 한반도연구소장과 오찬을 함께하며 한중 관계에 대해 대담했다”고 소개하면서 “권기식 회장은 ‘중국 정부가 최근 한국 단체관광을 허용한 것은 한중 경제교류 활성화와 우호 증진에 큰 도움이 될 것’이라며 ‘한중 양국이 상호 핵심이익을 존중하며 협력하는 것이 동북아 평화에 기여하는 길’이라고 강조했다”고 전했다.
