세종시가 드론을 활용한 벼 병충해 방제를 실시했다.
14일 오전 7시 세종시 금남면 달전리 들녘에서 실시한 ‘드론 활용 벼 병해충 공동방제 시연 현장’에는 최민호 세종시장이 찾아 방제상황을 참관하고 농업인들을 격려했다.
세종시는 지속된 폭염과 태풍으로 도열병, 흰잎마름병 등 벼 병해충 발생빈도가 높아지면서 드론을 활용해 긴급 공동방제를 실시하고 있다.
최민호 시장은 이날 벼 병해충 방제 상황을 참관한 후 직접 드론방제기를 조종해 병해충 방제를 시연하고, 참석한 농업인들과 애로사항 등에 대한 의견을 나눴다.
세종시는 농협과 협력사업으로 농가가 공동방제를 신청한 농지 1,709㏊에 지난달 1차 방제를 완료했으며, 지난 9일부터는 2차 방제에 나서 오는 24일까지 방제를 진행할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
