브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 뉴발란스(NEW BALANCE)가 자사의 스테디셀러 운동화 시리즈인 ‘574’의 출시 35주년을 기념하는 팝업스토어를 운영한다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번 팝업스토어는 여의도 더현대 서울 지하 2층에서 오는 31일부터 9월 6일까지 진행한다. 팝업스토어에는 574 라인인 레거시/헤리티지를 비롯해 기존의 클래식 모델까지 아우르는 제품들을 선보일 예정이다.
뉴발란스는 574 발매 35주년을 기념하기 위해 글로벌 스니커즈 매거진 ”SNEAKER FREAKER(스니커 프리커)”와 함께했다.
스니커프리커에서 준비한 574 아카이브 전시를 통해 2000년대 초반부터 2023년까지의 기념적인 574 모델을 만날 수 있으며, 현장 이벤트 참여시 스니커프리커와 협업한 한국 한정 574 스토리북을 하루 100명 한정으로 증정한다.
또한 이번 팝업스토어에서는 '574 발렌타인'에서 착안한 하트끈과 리본끈 등 다양한 신발끈도 공개될 예정이다.
아울러 574 레거시의 신규 제품들을 팝업스토어에서 단독 선발매한다. 행사기간 내 구매하면 1족 당 더현대 서울 한정판 신발끈 1팩을 추가로 제공할 예정이다.
뉴발란스 관계자는 “1988년 처음 탄생한 뉴발란스 574는 많은 사랑을 받으며, 뉴발란스의 시그니처 모델로 자리매김했다”며, “이번 35주년을 맞이해 열린 574 팝업스토어를 통해 기존 모델부터 새로운 라인까지 직접 신어보고 경험하는 좋은 기회가 되길 바란다.”고 전했다.
