브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 불법 면세유를 팔아 단기간에 거액을 탈세하고 폐업시키는 ' 먹튀주유소 ' 가 올해 상반기에만 40건 넘게 적발됐다.
특히 먹튀주유소들은 저소득층 등을 바지사장으로 세우기 때문에 국세청이 추징할 돈이 없는 경우가 대부분이다.
26일 서영교 더불어민주당 의원이 국세청으로부터 제출받은 자료에 따르면 '불법유류 조기경보시스템' 을 가동한 2016 년 11월부터 올해 6 월까지 먹튀 주유소 적발건수는 466건 , 탈루세액은 854억원에 달했다.
특히 올해 상반기에만 적발건수는 42건에 탈루세액은 76억원이다.
그러나 약 7년간 적발금액 854억원 중 추징세액은 0.5% 수준인 4억원에 불과했다. 올해 상반기 역시 추징세액은 전무한 실정이다.
먹튀주유소 업자들은 휴 · 폐업한 임차주유소를 이용해 3~4개월 가량의 단기간에 불법으로 빼돌린 면세유 기름을 팔고 잠적하기 때문에 적발이 쉽지 않다.
서영교 의원은 "상반기에만 벌써 42건이 적발된 것을 볼 때 연말까지 가면 지난해 78 건 보다 더 많은 먹튀주유소가 적발될 가능성이 크다 "며 "국세청의 현장인력 보강은 물론 조기경보 시스템을 강화해야 하고 면세유 통합관리시스템 가동 시기도 최대한 당겨야 한다"고 강조했다.
한편 국세청에서도 조기 대응체계를 전면 가동해 즉시 단속을 확대하고 명의위장 대응을 강화하기로 했다. 또 면세유 통합관리시스템을 구축해 무자료 면세유의 원천 차단도 추진한다.
