브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 해외직구로 들여온 다이어트, 근육강화, 성기능 식품등에 마약류나 신경안정제 등 유해성분이 검출된 것으로 나타났다.
30일 백종헌 국민의힘 의원이 식품의약품안전처와 관세청으로부터 제출받은‘해외직구 식품 및 의약품 관련 현황’에 따르면 해외직구로 들여 온 식품 중 마약류, 신경안정제 등 유해성분이 들어간 다이어트, 근육강화, 성기능 식품들이 발견됐는데, 대부분 미국산으로 분석됐다.
또한 단속 의약품의 종류도 파스, 감기약, 치약, 소화제, 안약, 연고, 무좀치료제, 피부약 등 다양해지고 있었다.
먼저 최근 3년간 해외직구 식품 구매 검사 결과, 2021년에는 다이어트, 성기능, 근육강화를 제외한 그 외 효능효과 표방제품 절반 이상(55.1%)에서 유해성분이 확인됐다.
2022년과 2023년 (8월 기준)에는 다이어트, 성기능, 근육강화 효과 표방제품 등의 유해성분 확인 비율이 70% 이상을 차지했다.
그 외 효능효과 표방제품 등의 주요 사례로는 혈당 개선 조절, 가슴확대, 콜레스테롤 개선 등 표방제품이었다.
유해성분별로는 2021년에 그 밖에 식품 사용불가 원료 등이 총 296건 중 162건으로 54.7%를 차지했다.
2022년에는 의약성분이 총 273건 중 143건으로 52.4%, 2023년 (8월 기준)에는 총 93건 중 62건으로 66.6%다.
제조국별로는 미국이 전체의 85% 이상이었다.
유해성분이 적발된 다이어트, 성기능, 근육강화 효과 등 표방제품에서 검출된 의약성분 중에는 마약의 주성분인 암페타민 성분에 속하는 페닐에틸아민과 신경안정제 5-하이드록시트립토판, 안전성이 검증되지 않아 식품용으로 사용할 수 없는 무리아 푸아마, 간부전 및 무정자증 심각한 부작용을 초래할 수 있는 단백 동화 스테로이드 등이 있었다.
또한 2021년 해외직구 단속 의약품은 탈모치료제, 일본산의약품, 고양이복막염치료제, 여드름치료제 등 총 4종류에 불과했으나, 2022년부터 현재까지 파스, 감기약, 치약, 소화제, 안약, 연고, 무좀치료제, 피부약 등 단속 의약품 종류 등 총 14종류로 다양해지고 있다.
관세청에 따르면 해외직구 의약품 악용사범들은 대부분 중국, 인도, 일본 등 현지 거래 상대방으로부터 구입해 의약품을 반입했고, 일부는 해외 쇼핑몰(이로이로도쿄, 핀두오두오 등)에서 구입하여 반입한 것으로 파악되고 있다.
유해물질이 함유된 식품을 해외직구로 들여오다 단속되면, 현품은 압수 절차를 거치며 사건 기록과 함께 관할 검찰청에 송치된다.
이에 백종헌 의원은 “해외직구를 통해 안전성이 검증되지 않은 식의약품 관련 신고와 의약품 악용사범 적발이 계속 늘어나고 있다”면서 “식약처는 관세청, 방송통신위원회와의 협업을 고도화하여 해외직구 식‧의약품 온라인 불법유통에 대한 선제적 조치를 실시하고 국민 건강 안전 사각지대를 해소하기 위해 주기적으로 실무자 간 협의를 진행해야 할 것이며, 소비자는 안정성이 담보된 정식 수입식품을 구매해야 할 것”이라고 강조했다.
한편 식약처는 관세청과 함께 지난 2019년 ‘위해 의약품 정보 연계 시스템’을 구축하고 위해 의약품 정보를 제공받아 해외직구 반입차단에 활용 중이다. 유해성분이 확인된 해외직구 식품의 경우 방송통신위원회에 판매 사이트 접속차단을 요청하는 등 관계기관과 협업하며 국내에 반입되지 않도록 조치하고 있다.
