브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT는 EBS(한국방송공사)와 AI 미래 교육 디지털 혁신 사업 협력을 위한 업무 협약(MOU)을 체결한다고 5일 밝혔다.
KT와 EBS는 이번 협약을 통해 AI 기반 교육 플랫폼과 고품질 교육 콘텐츠를 결합해 다양한 분야에서 협력할 예정이다. 양사는 △AI 기반 교육사업 모델 고도화 △교육 데이터 기반 신규사업 기획∙개발 △AI 교수학습 플랫폼 사업 기회 발굴 및 사업 협력 △교육복지 사업 기회 발굴 및 사업 협력 △교육부∙교육기관의 정책 기반 신규사업 발굴 및 공동 연구∙사업화 등을 함께하기로 했다.
이를 통해 KT와 EBS는 국내 교육시장을 대상으로 미래 교육 사업을 공동으로 전개하고 대한민국의 미래 교육을 실현하며 공교육 서비스의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 협력을 이룰 방침이다.
향후 KT는 AI 기반 미래 교육플랫폼(AI 교수 학습 플랫폼)을 고도화하고 전국 시도교육청에 서비스를 확장해 갈 계획이다. 특히, 엄선된 EBS 학습 전용 콘텐츠 약 80만 편을 KT의 AI 학습 엔진 기술과 결합해 학습자에게 맞춤형 콘텐츠를 추천할 예정이다. 이로써 KT는 더욱 풍부하고 효과적인 학습 활동 서비스를 공교육 현장에 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
KT 커스터머DX사업단 박정호 상무는 “이번 MOU 체결은 KT가 보유한 AI 기반의 에듀테크 역량을 기반으로 오프라인 교육 환경을 넘어 맞춤형 교육 환경을 제공하고자 한다”며 “양사가 밀접히 협력하여 미래 교육의 표준을 만들어 가기 위해 노력할 것이다”고 말했다.
