브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 손수조 리더스클럽 대표는 12일 내년 총선 전초전으로 불리던 강서구청장 보궐선거에서 국민의힘이 패배한데 대해 "천막당사 수준의 혁신을 해야 한다"고 밝혔다.
손수조 대표는 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "강서구청장 선거 결과는 우리에게 가죽을 벗겨내는 수준의 혁신과 변화를 요구하고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
손 대표는 과거 2002년 한나라당이 '차떼기 정당'이라는 오명에서 벗어나기 위해 노력했던 시기를 언급하며 "천막당사까지 불사하면서 당을 살려내었던 그때의 결기가 필요하다"고 강조했다.
그러면서 "'국회의원 동일지역 3연임 초과 금지', '사고 징계 정치인 총선 불출마', '중진 의원 수도권 출마'를 강력히 촉구한다"라고 했다.
한편, 경기 동두천·연천 출마를 준비하고 있는 손수조 대표는 '국회의원 동일지역 3연임 초과 금지' 국회 토론회를 개최하는 등 정치개혁의 중요성을 알리는데 앞장서고 있다.
