브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 조원진 우리공화당 대표는 20일 대구시가 신청사 건립을 원안대로 추진하겠다고 밝힌데 대해 "대구시가 신청사를 옛 두류정수장으로 결정한 것은 대구시민들께 가장 지혜롭고 민주적으로 결정한 약속으로 반드시 지켜져야 한다"고 밝혔다.
조원진 대표는 이날 보도자료를 통해 "대구시민과의 약속을 마치 개인의 집인 양 계획을 뒤집어 갈등과 혼란을 일으킨 홍준표 대구시장은 책임있는 사과를 해야 한다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "홍준표 시장의 돌발 행정으로 대구시민께서 얼마나 혼란스러웠나. 특히 감삼동, 두류동, 성당동 등 달서구민께서 얼마나 고통스러웠나"라며 "대구시민을 무시하고 일방통행, 돌발 행정을 일삼은 홍준표 시장은 자신의 잘못을 인정해야 한다"고 지적했다.
이어 "더이상 대구시 신청사 이전과 관련한 논란은 있어서는 안된다. 대구시 신청사 이전을 원안대로 추진하기로 한 결정은 당연한 결정"이라며 "신청사 건립 시기가 무려 1년 넘게 표류했다. 앞으로 이러한 혼란과 피해가 없도록 반드시 원안대로 정상적으로 추진해야 한다"고 했다.
한편 우리공화당은 그동안 대구시 신청사 원안 추진을 강력히 요구해왔다. 지난 9월 19일에는 대구 감삼역에서 ‘시민무시 일방통행’ 홍준표 대구시장 규탄 태극기 집회를 개최한 바 있다.
