브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT스튜디오지니는 ‘제2회 KT스튜디오지니 시리즈 공모전’의 시상식을 개최하고, 대상 1편과 우수상 2편 등 총 3편의 수상작을 선정했다고 25일 밝혔다.
‘제2회 KT스튜디오지니 시리즈 공모전’은 KT그룹 내 콘텐츠그룹사인 KT스튜디오지니와 지니뮤직, 밀리의 서재, 스토리위즈가 같이 개최한 것으로, 시상식은 지난 24일 서울 서초구 KT스튜디오지니 사옥에서 진행됐다.
대상은 김은유 작가의 ‘해오름달 열이레’가 선정됐다. ‘해오름달 열이레’는 어려서부터 천재라 불렸던 열이레가 17세로 회귀해, 잃었던 가족을 구하고 사랑을 되찾는 판타지 사극 로맨스다.
심사위원들은 “인물의 매력과 서사 구조 모두 힘있게 쓰여진 대본으로 영상화 시 시청자들에게 대중적으로 사랑받을 수 있는 작품”이라고 호평했다.
우수상 중 서영희 작가의 ‘여수의 사랑’은 여수에서 행복한 유년시절을 함께 보냈던 남녀가 세월이 흐른 뒤에 사랑을 찾기 위해 모든 것을 다 바치는 내용으로, 오랜만에 만나는 웰메이드 감성 멜로 작품이라는 평가를 받았다.
또 다른 우수상 수상작 김보라 작가의 ‘이나영 탁구부’는 존폐 위기에 놓인 동아리 ‘이나영 탁구부’의 사활을 건 유쾌한 스포츠 성장 로맨스로, 신선한 컨셉과 톡톡 튀는 대사가 돋보이는 작품으로 평했다.
수상된 3개의 작품은 KT스튜디오지니에서 영상화를 목표로 개발할 예정이며, 지니뮤직과 밀리의 서재에서는 오디오드라마화를, 스토리위즈에서는 웹소설‧웹툰화를, 밀리의 서재에서는 소설화 진행 등을 통해 KT그룹 차원의 다양한 성과를 이뤄낼 예정이다.
한편, 1회 공모전 수상작인 ‘가석방심사관 이한신’의 경우 2024년 드라마 방영을 목표로 현재 제작 진행중이며, 우수상으로 선정된 ‘연화’는 올해 밀리의 서재에서 ‘연화의 묘: 대국을 만나다’라는 전자책으로 공개됐다.
