영덕군, 고당도·고품질 신고배 대만 수출

영덕군은 경북도 주관 ‘2023년 농식품 수출분야 공모사업’에서 신선 농산물 예비 수출단지로 선정돼 관내 라온 배 수출 공선회 22곳 농가를 대상으로 생산 환경 현대화, 시설 개보수, 고품질 생산 기자재 및 품질관리 시설 지원 등을 추진했다.

이를 바탕으로 해당 농가들은 수출 농산물의 수확량과 품질향상에 힘쓰고 수출활로를 확보한 결과 고품질의 영덕산 배를 해외 소비자들에게 선보이게 됐다.

영덕군 병곡면에서 생산되는 영덕산 배는 토양과 기후조건이 배 재배에 적합하고, 해풍을 맞고 자라 당도가 높고 육즙이 풍부해 국내 소비자는 물론 배가 재배되지 않는 동남아에서 인기가 매우 높다.

올해 8월 원황배 12톤을 베트남에 수출하고 이달 20일엔 신고배 6톤을 홍콩으로 수출했으며 이번에 대만으로 신고배 15톤을 수출하게 됐다.

또한 11월 중에는 홍콩으로 신고배 수출할 계획에 있어 올해 총 60톤의 수출실적을 이룰 것으로 예상된다.

김광열 영덕군수는 “신규 수출품 발굴과 수출 판로 확대에 총력을 다해 농업의 선진화와 고부가가치를 이끌어 농가 소득 증대는 물론, 지역농업 발전과 경제 활성화에 이바지할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
