브레이크뉴스 박정대 기자= 민생당은 26일 "윤석열 정부는 럼피스킨병 방역에 총력을 다해야 한다"고 밝혔다.
박성준 수석대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "국내 최초로 발병이 확인된 럼피스키병 확산으로 우리 농가와 축사의 한숨과 고심이 더욱 깊어지고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "럼피스킨병 확산이 현재 심각한 상황이며, 적극적이고 활발한 방역과 당사자인 농축산민 뿐만 아니라 전 국민이 동참하여야 할 상황이라 생각한다"며 "주로 모기, 파리, 진드기 등 흡혈 곤충을 통해 전파되는 만큼 기존 방역 체계보다 더욱 촘촘한 방역이 요구된다"고 강조했다.
이어 "비록 사람에게 전염되지 않고, 발병 후 치사율이 비교적 낮은 것으로 파악되고 있으나 사람이나 소나 감염병에 대해선 방심은 금물이다"라며 "윤석열 정부는 방역에 총력을 다하여 더 이상의 확산을 저지하고 수확의 계절에 우리 농가와 축사에 걱정과 고심을 덜어주길 바란다"고 촉구했다.
그러면서 "민생당은 긴급 백신 접종 정책에 따라 지역 농축협 소속 수의사를 지원과, 긴급 방역물품 및 연막 소독 차량 등 방역 지원을 골고루 빈틈없이 진행하고 지원할 것을 윤석열 정부와 농협, 축협에 촉구하며, 효과적인 백신 접종과 방역 활동이 진행되는데 우리 농축산민과 끝까지 함께하겠다는 약속을 드린다"고 덧붙였다.
