브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 조원진 우리공화당 대표는 26일 박정희 대통령 서거 44주기를 맞아 "1962년 고작 수출 실적 5천여만 달러에 불과한 대한민국을 1977년 수출 1백억 달러라는 신화적이고 경이적인 성과를 이룩하신 박정희 대통령은 그야말로 역사상 가장 위대한 경제 대통령이셨다"고 밝혔다.
조원진 대표는 이날 오후 당 지도부, 당원 1000여명과 함께 서울 국립현충원 박정희 대통령 묘역 앞에서 열린 추모식에 참석했다.
조원진 대표는 이 자리에서 "지금도 민생이 중요하고 경제가 중요하다"며 "박정희 대통령의 혁명정신을 계승하여 자유대한민국을 더욱 번영시켜야 한다"고 강조했다.
이어 "박정희 대통령이 국민께 약속한 혁명공약은 ▲반공 ▲미국을 위시한 자유우방과의 유대 ▲부패와 구악 일소 ▲민생고 해결 및 국가 자주경제 재건 ▲국토통일을 위한 실력 배양 이었다"며 "박정희 대통령께서는 국민과의 약속을 지키셨고 위대한 부국강병 대한민국을 만드셨다"고 강조했다.
그러면서 "우리공화당은 박정희 대통령님의 혁명정신을 대한민국 헌법 전문에 반드시 넣을 것이며, 자유 대한민국의 번영을 이끄는데 더욱 앞장 설 것이다. 박정희 대통령님의 애국심, 애민정신, 혁명정신을 영원히 잊지 않을 것이다"라고 덧붙였다.
한편 이날 추모식에서는 박정희 대통령의 당시 육성 연설, 국민교육헌장 낭독 등이 있었으며 우리공화당 상임고문인 허평환 전 기무사령관과 임덕기 전 건국회 회장의 추모사, 우리공화당 정책위의장인 안상열 전 강원대학교 경제학과 교수, 우무성 청년위원장, 박주호 청년당원의 추모발언, 헌화 참배 순으로 진행했다.
