월간 『리더피플』측은 11월2일자 보도자료에서 “박갑상 전 대구광역시의회 건설교통위원장이 지난 10월 23일 프레스센터 외신기자클럽에서 개최된 월간 『리더피플』 (발행인: 김동성)이 주최하고, 『책사랑신문』이 후원한 ‘2023 대한민국전문리더대상’ 시상식에서 혁신리더부문 대상을 수상했다”고 밝혔다.

박갑상 전 위원장은 시의원이 되기 전 대구 제3산업단지관리공단에 37년간 근무했다, 지난2013년에는 미래창조과학부장관 표창을 받기도 했다.
