국가철도공단, 소외계층 따뜻한 겨울나기 지원

국가철도공단은 주변 소외계층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 지원하기 위해 ‘2023년 사랑의 연탄 나눔’ 행사를 시행했다고 7일 밝혔다.

이날 행사에서 철도공단은 연탄 1만 5천장을 대전연탄은행에 기증하였으며, 김한영 이사장을 비롯한 임직원 90여 명이 대전 동구에 거주하는 소외계층을 찾아 연탄과 생필품을 전달하는 나눔활동을 가졌다.

‘사랑의 연탄나눔’ 행사는 철도공단이 대전지역 소외계층을 위해 2006년부터 18년 간 매년 진행하고 있는 대표 사회공헌 행사로, 올해까지 총 53만장 가량을 지원하여 지역사회 온기 나눔에 앞장서고 있다.

국가철도공단 김한영 이사장은 “임직원들이 합심하여 전달한 연탄이 매서운 한파를 걱정하는 이웃들에게 따뜻한 희망이 되길 바란다.”며, “앞으로도 주변 취약계층의 어려움을 살펴 지역사회와 상생하는 사회공헌활동을 지속해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
