한중도시우호협회는11월16일자 보도자료에서 “권기식 한중도시우호협회장은 16일 오후 서울시 중구 명동 소재 주한중국대사관을 방문해 싱하이밍(邢海明) 주한중국대사에게 공로감사패를 전달했다”고 전했다.
권기식 회장은 이 자리에서 "싱하이밍 대사는 한중 수교 이후 한중 우호와 협력에 가장 크게 기여했다"며 "코로나19 이후 중단된 한중 관광교류 재개를 위해 큰 역할을 했기에 한국인들의 감사의 마음을 담아 공로패를 전달하게 됐다"고 말했다.
싱하이밍 주한 중국대사는 "한국의 대표적인 중한 교류단체인 한중도시우호협회가 주는 감사패를 받아 기쁘다"며 "중한 교류 활성화를 위해 비자 절차 간소화를 추진하고 있다"고 말했다.
전달식 이후 권 회장과 싱 대사는 한중 교류 강화 방안에 대해 대담했다.
이날 행사에는 한중도시우호협회에서 최종하ㆍ박경수 부회장 등이 함께했다. 아울러 주한중국대사관에서는 팡쿤(方坤) 공사 등이 참석했다.
권기식 회장은 11월20~26일 중국 푸젠(福建)성 샤먼(厦門)시 남보타사 등을 방문해 한중 불교관광교류 등을 협의할 예정이다.

Chairman Kwon Ki-sik plans to visit Nanbota Temple in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China from November 20 to 26 to discuss Korea-China Buddhist tourism exchange.
