국민의 알 권리를 보호하고 언론의 독립성을 지키는데 앞장서 온 사단법인 대한기자협회(회장 이창호) 주최, 국제연합뉴스가 주관하는 2023년'대한민국 의정대상, 글로벌브랜드대상'을 열고 대한민국 제21대 국회에서 2023년도 의정활동 우수 국회의원 5명과 글로벌강소브랜드기업 15개사를 선정하여 11월 21일 국회도서관 대강당에서 시상했다.

이날 천세원 중앙위원(중국 하북미술대학교 교수)사회로 진행된 시상식에 주제 강의는 선종복 교수(서울기독대학교 교수)가 ‘ESG와 글로컬리더십’을 비롯한 개회 선언, 국민의례, VIP소개 환영사 등 순으로 진행됐다.

대한기자협회 제7대 회장을 맡고 있는 이창호 회장은 이날 국회도서관 대강당에서 열린 시상식에서 "대한기자협회의 언론에 대한 사회적 책임 완수는 물론이고 올바른 언론인의 길을 걸어갈 것이라는 다짐과 함께 오늘 수상하신 국회의원들의 무운장구와 함께, 더욱 국가발전에 헌신에 주시기를 당부한다"고 밝혔다.

이어 "글로벌브랜드대상을 수상하신 기업의 대표님들에게는 글로벌 시장에서 우뚝서는 기업으로 발전하여 풍요로운 대한민국을 만들어 가는데 중추적인 역할을 해 달라"고 당부하였다.
한편 대한민국의정대상과 글로벌브랜드대상은 국회의정 활동의 바람직한 방향을 제시하고 국회의 책무를 성실히 수행한 국회의원과 국내외 어려운 여견 속에서도 글로벌 강소기업으로서 역할을 충실히 해 온 중소기업들을 대상으로 엄격한 평가 기준에 따라 매년 선정해 올해로 8년째 수여하고 있다.
이번엔 수상한 국회의원 명단과 기업은 아래와 같다.
