브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KCC는 사회복지공동모금회에 이웃사랑 성금 7억원을 기부하며 지자체의 나눔 캠페인에 동참했다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 성금 기부는 서울시 서초구 본사, 경기도 용인시 중앙연구소 등 주요 사업장이 있는 전국 사회복지공동모금회 지회별로 분할 기탁해 지원 혜택이 어느 한 곳에 집중되지 않고 필요한 지역에 고루 돌아갈 수 있도록 했다. 전달된 성금은 각 지역 취약계층 이웃들의 주거환경 및 복지시설 개선등을 위한 비용으로 사용될 예정이다.
KCC는 ESG경영의 일환으로 기업의 사회적 책임을 적극적으로 실천하고 있다. 특히, 도움이 필요한 이웃과 지역사회를 위해 사회복지공동모금회와 함께 연말연시 모금 캠페인을 벌이는 한편, 취약계층에 희망을 전달하기 위해 노력하고 있다.
