브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 넷마블문화재단은 지난해 12월 진행된 ‘2023 넷마블나눔 DAY’ 수익금과 재단이 동일 금액을 매칭한 약 1100만 원의 기금을 사옥 인근 지역의 보육시설 2개소에 전달했다고 23일 밝혔다.
넷마블문화재단이 기금을 전달한 보육시설은 혜명보육원(금천구)과 에델마을(구로구)이다. 혜명보육원은 아동 및 청소년의 정서 함양 및 자립을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 진행하고 있으며, 에델마을은 아동들을 대상으로 교육 및 심리정서 치료 등을 지원 중인 곳이다.
이번 기금은 각 기관에서 지역사회 아동들이 사용할 가전 및 가구, 전자기기 등의 구매금액으로 사용될 예정이다.
넷마블문화재단 이나영 사무국장은 “넷마블나눔 DAY기금은 매년 사내 나눔행사를 통해 넷마블·코웨이 임직원과 넷마블문화재단이 함께 기부금을 조성한다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “지속적으로 사내 나눔 문화를 확산해 지역사회 복지 증진에 기여할 수 있도록 적극적인 노력을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 건강한 게임문화의 가치 확대 및 미래 창의 인재 양성, 나눔 문화 확산 등을 위해 지난 2018년 출범한 넷마블문화재단은 ‘문화 만들기’, ‘인재 키우기’, ‘마음 나누기’ 등 3가지 영역을 중심으로 다양하고 전문화된 사회공헌 활동을 전개하고 있다.
