경주시의회, 국책사업추진 및 원전특별위원회 간담회 개최

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시의회는 25일 ‘월성원전 1호기 해체사업 최종해체계획서 초안 주민의견수렴’을 주제로 한국수력원자력(이하 한수원) 및 경주시청 관계자가 보고하는 국책사업추진 및 원전특별위원회 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 위원회는 원전의 해체는 신중하게 이루어질 것, 간담회·주민설명회·공청회 등을 통해 수렴된 주민의견을 충분히 반영한 최종해체계획서를 작성할 것을 한수원 및 관계기관에 요청했다.

또한 최종해체계획서 제출 전 시민의견을 대변하는 기관인 시의회에 그 내용을 상세히 보고해야 할 것을 덧붙였다.

이경희 국책사업추진 및 원전특별위원장은 “경주시는 원전소재 지역으로서 항상 위험에 노출되어 있으므로, 안전 확보에 대하여 한수원·원자력환경공단·경주시 등 관계기관의 역할이 매우 중요하다.”며 “원전과 관련한 사소한 부분이라도 설명회 및 공청회 등을 통해 시민들이 안심하고 생활할 수 있도록 적극 알려주길 바란다”고 주문했다.
