LG전자, LG디스플레이, LG이노텍, LG화학, LG에너지솔루션, LG생활건강, LG유플러스, LG CNS 등 8개 계열사가 총 1조2500억 원 규모의 협력사 납품대금을 예정일보다 최대 14일 앞당겨 설 연휴 전에 지급할 계획이다.
LG는 설 명절을 앞두고 대금 결제, 상여금 등 일시적으로 자금 수요가 늘어나는 협력사를 돕기 위해 납품대금을 앞당겨 지급하기로 했다.
LG 계열사들은 납품대금 조기 지급 외에도 협력사가 저금리로 대출을 받아 자금을 조달할 수 있도록 상생협력펀드, 직접 대출 등을 포함한 1조3000억 원 규모의 금융지원 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
LG전자는 지난해 시중 은행과 예탁·출연금으로 1000억 원 펀드를 조성해 총 3000억 원 규모 상생협력펀드를 운영, 경영자금이 필요한 협력사에 저금리 대출을 지원하고 있다. 신규 및 자동화 설비투자를 필요로 하는 협력사에는 매년 400억 원 규모의 자금을 무이자로 직접 제공하고 있다.
LG이노텍은 1400억 원 규모의 동반성장펀드를 운영하면서 협력사의 자금 조달에 직접적인 도움을 주고 있으며, LG에너지솔루션은 2020년 1500억 원 규모의 투자지원펀드를 조성해 중소기업의 설비, 운영자금에 대한 금리우대 등 금융지원을 제공하고 있다.
LG 관계자는 “납품대금 조기 지급뿐만 아니라, 고물가?고금리에 따른 금융비용 상승으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 협력사를 지원하기 위한 상생협력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, LG 계열사들은 명절을 맞아 지역 소외 이웃들에게 생활용품, 식료품 등 생필품을 전달하며 온정을 나눌 계획이다.
LG전자는 이달 16일부터 설 명절 전까지 1사1촌 자매결연을 맺은 마을에 총 2000kg의 김치를 기부하고 있으며, 한국장애인재활협회를 통해 전국 17개 시도 장애청소년 가정에 쌀과 식료품 세트 등을 전달할 예정이다.
