김하균 세종부시장은 30일 설 명절을 앞두고 관내 4개 전통시장을 찾아 화재 및 안전사고 예방을 위한 관계기관 합동점검을 실시했다.
이날 점검은 김하균 행정부시장의 총괄로 시청 내 소상공인과, 사회재난과와 세종소방서, 한국전기안전공사, 한국가스안전공사 등 관계기관 합동으로 진행됐다.
점검은 ▲소화기 등 소화 시설 확보 여부 ▲문어발식 콘센트 및 오염 멀티탭 사용, 전기기기 접지 상태 ▲가스용기 보관 실태, 가스차단기·경보기 정상 작동 여부 등이다.
이날 김 부시장을 비롯한 점검단은 설 명절을 앞두고 전통시장에 많은 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상되는 만큼 화재 및 안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 현장 곳곳을 꼼꼼히 살폈다.
김 부시장은 “이번 합동점검에서 지적 사항들을 신속히 조치해 사고 발생을 예방하고, 상인들에게 화재 예방 요령을 알려 전통시장을 찾는 시민이 안전한 설 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 시는 전통시장 화재 예방을 위해 노후 전선 정비, 화재 알림 시설 설치, 배연설비 정비사업 지원을 추진한 바 있다.
