고양소방서는 19일부터 10일간 계단실형 공동주택에 대하여 일제점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
소방서에 따르면 계단실형 아파트의 경우 화재 발생 시 세대의 현관문·방화문 개방에 따른 계단실의 굴뚝효과로 유독가스가 다른 층으로 빠르게 확산해 연기흡입으로 인한 인명피해가 발생할 우려가 있다.

이에 소방서는 방화문이 정상적인 상태로 닫혀 있는지, 훼손 또는 장애물로 인한 피난 장애요인이 있는지 등을 점검하고 우리 아파트 대피계획 바로 세우기 캠페인, 세대 점검 안내, 화재 피난 안전 매뉴얼과 피난 행동 요령 관련 안전 컨설팅도 함께 할 예정이다.
