세종교육청이 신학기를 맞아 이달부터 학원·교습소·개인과외교습자 700개소의 운영실태 점검에 나선다. 또 설립 2년 차 이내 학원·교습소 200개에 대해서는 사전 지도도 실시한다.
점검은 최근 3년 이상 점검 실적이 없는 학원·교습소·개인과외교습자가 중점 대상이다.
이를 위해 시 교육청은 점검반을 투입해 ▲교습비 초과 징수 및 반환 관리 ▲무자격 강사 채용 ▲강사·직원 등의 성범죄·아동학대 범죄 경력 여부 ▲제반 장부 비치와 관리 ▲어린이 통학버스 신고 사항 등을 살펴볼 예정이다.
점검일 이전에 시교육청은 대상 학원 등의 운영자에게는 자가 진단 점검표, 준수 사항, 행정처분 및 과태료 부과 기준 등을 사전에 배포하여 미비점을 보완하도록 유도할 방침이다.
또 관내 학원장 11명으로 구성된 ‘학원자율관리위원회’와 협업을 통한 사전 지도를 통해, 학원 운영 관계법, 각종 위반사례 등을 자세히 안내하고, 학원이 개원 초기부터 적법한 운영을 할 수 있도록 도울 계획이다.
검검후, 학원 운영 전반에 대한 편·불법 운영 사실이 적발된 학원 등에 대해서는 행정처분 및 과태료 부과 등 관련법에 따라 행정절차를 진행할 예정이다.
