동국대 WISE캠퍼스, 해오름동맹 원자력혁신센터 SMR 특강 개최

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대 WISE캠퍼스 해오름동맹 원자력혁신센터는 경북연구원 설홍수 선임연구위원을 초청해 ‘경주 SMR(혁신원자력) 국가산업단지 추진배경과 발전방향’이라는 주제로 SMR 특강을 개최한다.

오는 4월 3일 오전 10시 30분 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 글로벌에이스홀(원효관 4층)에서 열리는 특강은 경주시민, 대학생 등 SMR에 관심 있는 사람이면 누구나 참석할 수 있다.

설홍수 선임연구위원은 이번 강연에서 경주시가 계획하고 있는 SMR 국가산업단지의 추진배경, SMR 국가산업단지 조성의 의의와 미래가치 등을 설명하고, 경주에 전국 최고의 원전산업 인프라 조성을 위해 SMR 국가산업단지가 나아갈 방향에 대해 강연할 예정이다.

동국대 WISE캠퍼스 반상우 해오름동맹 원자력혁신센터장은 “지난 제1차 SMR 특강 참석자 대상 설문조사 결과에 의하면, 참석 시민의 특강 만족도가 매우 높았다며”, 앞으로도 시민과 함께하는 의미 있는 소통의 장 마련을 위해 노력하고 시민들의 시각에 맞는 원자력과 SMR에 대해 이해할수 있는 좋은 시간이 되었으면 한다.“고 말했다.

동국대 WISE캠퍼스 해오름동맹 원자력혁신센터는 ㈜한국수력원자력과 해오름동맹 3개 지자체(경주, 포항, 울산)의 예산 지원으로 6개 대학(동국대 WISE캠퍼스, 위덕대, 포항공대, 한동대, UNIST, 울산대)에서 수행하고 있는 3개 분야(원전지역 특화연구, 지역협력전략연구, 지역수용성 증진연구)의 33개 세부사업을 지원하고 있다.

Dongguk University WISE Campus holds a special lecture on SMR at the Haeoreum Alliance Nuclear Innovation Center

The Haeoreum Alliance Nuclear Innovation Center at the WISE Campus of Dongguk University invited Seol Hong-soo, a senior researcher at the Gyeongbuk Research Institute, to hold a special lecture on SMR under the topic of ‘Gyeongju SMR (Innovative Nuclear) National Industrial Complex Promotion Background and Development Direction’.

Anyone interested in SMR, including Gyeongju citizens and college students, can attend the special lecture that will be held on April 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Global Ace Hall (4th floor, Wonhyo Hall) of Dongguk University's WISE Campus.

In this lecture, Senior Research Fellow Seol Hong-soo explained the background of the SMR National Industrial Complex planned by Gyeongju City, the significance and future value of the creation of the SMR National Industrial Complex, and explained that the SMR National Industrial Complex is being built in Gyeongju to create the best nuclear power plant industry infrastructure in the country. I plan to give a lecture on the direction to take.

Ban Sang-woo, head of the Haeoreum Alliance Nuclear Innovation Center at Dongguk University's WISE Campus, said, “According to the results of a survey of attendees of the first SMR special lecture, the satisfaction of the citizens who attended the special lecture was very high,” and we will continue to strive to create a meaningful communication venue with citizens. “I hope this will be a good time to understand nuclear power and SMR from the citizens’ perspective,” he said.

Dongguk University WISE Campus Haeoreum Alliance Nuclear Innovation Center is operated by six universities (Dongguk University WISE Campus, Widuk University, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Handong University, UNIST, and Ulsan University) with budget support from Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and three local governments of Haeoreum Alliance (Gyeongju, Pohang, and Ulsan). We are supporting 33 detailed projects in three fields (nuclear power plant area specialized research, regional cooperation strategy research, and regional acceptance promotion research).
